Firefox 11 is up here…..

Firefox 11 should be landing soonFirefox 11 is almost here. There was some uncertainty over whether it was going to be released on time, with a couple of issues holding it back, but Mozilla decided to go ahead with the scheduled release, though the new version won't be pushed via the automated update channels for at least a few more days, meaning that if you don't do anything, you should get Firefox 11 later in the week.

But if you're the impatient type, you can grab it already since it's been pushed to the Mozilla FTP servers. It should become available on the official Firefox download page soon.
Firefox 11 is not packing a long list of new features, though developers may discover a couple of really interesting new tools.
Firefox can finally import Google Chrome bookmarks, history and cookies, so if you're switching from Chrome back to Firefox or to Firefox for the first time, all of your stuff will be coming with you.
Another feature that makes migration easier, this time meaning switching from one device to another, is add-on sync.
If you're already using sync, you'll notice that your installed add-ons will be carried over to any other device you're using, meaning no more manual downloads every time you log into a new browser.
Developers may enjoy a couple of new features in Firefox 11. For one, there's now a full style sheet editor so developers can start writing custom CSS right inside the browser and see the effects instantaneously, when sketching out a new design or testing some changes.
The web inspector, which has been seeing quite a lot of progress over the last few releases, is getting a very cool and arguably useful feature, a three-dimensional view of a page's HTML layout. Designers in particular may get good use out of this new feature.
